Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service - Film and Discussion
Since Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday became a holiday in 1983, many have taken this day as a day of service. Project PLASE will be holding a day of service to acknowledge all that he did for civil rights during his lifetime, and all of the steps which still need to be taken for racial equity and civil rights.
From 2pm to 4pm we will be holding a viewing of a short film, followed by a discussion on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and non-violence.
We are so excited to have individuals come out and participate in this discussion with us. This is going to be a fun event with movie snacks and lively discussion! All individuals are invited to attend this event with us.
Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rachel, if you are interested in attending this event or if you have any questions. You can call her at (410)837-1400 x128 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
